Tour 13 – The Casual Tour

Melbourne Coffee Weekend (week) is over and we need to talk.

When the plane landed in Sydney, I didn’t want to think about Tour 13.

I continued not wanting to think about Tour 13 the whole bus trip home.

When Sunday became Monday I still did not want to think about Tour 13 but I woke up at 6:30am anyway coz yikes I did think about it a little bit on Sunday.

In fact I had thought up a plan.

5:30am is the time you have to wake up on Mondays (and Tuesdays and Wednesdays) to get things done before your full time, real job begins. But this Monday I added an hour of denial to the alarm time.

Somehow in the dark without coffee my brain was working. And somehow by 8am, I had a plan.

Fast forward to 5:30am the next morning: I discovered my plan was rather crap.

You might find it hard to believe that these three images took hours of work and days of thought.

If you cook then you can probably understand how a meal eaten in 10mins didn’t necessarily take 10mins to make.

Or – if we bring it back to coffee (kindly) – it takes 20-30s to pull a double shot but the coffee that was in the basket came from a plant that took 3-5 years to fruit (depending on variety).

Nonetheless, it was pleasing to have a post, a tour date and the rest of the week to do battle with WordPress and email hosts. All that delicious delicious content I shot in Melbourne? It’ll all have to wait till 5:30am.
